Named after the Islay region of Scotland, these handmade shot glasses taper towards a heavy base and are accompanied by hand-finished coasters made from solid walnut. The rim is fire-polished to achieve a smooth finish. The wooden coaster is shaped from American walnut and treated with food-safe oils to bring out the grain and depth of color. The wood is sourced from sustainably-managed forests and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. Each glass is mouthblown using centuries-old craft techniques, echoing the traditions of whisky distillation. Expert craftsmanship is required to mouth blow and finish each glass by hand.
Set of 2
Handwash the glass in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Clean the wood with a soft brush or damp cloth. Do not leave immersed in water or place in a dishwasher. Allow to dry naturally.
Due to the traditional manufacturing of mouth-blown glass air bubbles and slight imperfections can occur. This is a natural and unique part of the handmade process.
